ALL ABOUT RICKY CASH
Ricky Cash is a singer-songwriter-musician and is the son of well known Indian country singer Bobby Cash.
Ricky Cash's music is a multiform and pleasing mix of country, alternative country, rock & roll and pop. His songs generally encompass stories of love, life and heartbreak.
This talented young man is following his father's trail with the same passion and love for music in what comes to him naturally from his father yet in his own way and it is his desire to work hard at his music, be the best, and connect with his audience from the heart. He aims to enjoy the journey and let his music be his true identity.
Starting his musical journey from since he was in school, Ricky won in singing competitions and then went on to performing at college level.
In January 2020, Ricky became the recipient of the Tamworth Regional Council John Minson Scholarship to attend the CMAA Academy of Country Music. There he co-wrote a song with chart topping hit songwriter Matt Scullion as part of the academic program. He also did multiple radio and newspaper interviews for 88.9 FM Tamworth Radio, 2TM, Northern Daily Leader and others.
While in Tamworth, NSW, Ricky did a round of the music venues in Tamworth, playing in The Pub, The Press, The Imperial Hotel, The Albert Hotel, Capitol Theatre and at the opening concert at West's League at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, one of the biggest Country Music festivals in the world.
Ricky Cash has also shared the stage with his father, Bobby Cash on a few occasions, the most recent being at The Young Turks Awards, 2020, held in Mussoorie. He has also performed with Lawrie and Shelley Minson at The Rodeo in 2018.
He has done his rounds of well known local venues in the Dehradun region, such as Katman's, Orchard, Pacific Mall, etc. He has also played in LSBNAA in Mussoorie, St. George's Milestone 2018 and 2019; Grafest 2015, 2016, 2017; Music Matters 2018 and at the UPES in 2018 with Bobby Cash. In New Delhi, Ricky Cash has performed at The Rodeo, Bikers Cafe, Gurugram and at Turquoise Cottage at the launch of Abhimanyu Kukreja's 'Rockumentary'.
In 2017, he wrote the theme song for Greenstock, a song about going green and environmental awareness. As quoted by the Greenstock Magazine 2017, he pens "lyrics, composes and sings songs that inspire his peers to rethink, revalue and repossess what is lost or in the process of being lost.
He released his debut Single and music video for the song titled ' Kar Liya' in 2018, his first self- written and composed Hindi song. This song received airplay on ABC Northwest, a radio station in Australia.
Ricky Cash has also been featured in a Netflix show 'Soundscapes' in an episode on Bobby Cash. He is also featured as part of a story interview with Bobby Cash in a Songdew Television Production.
He is into fitness, martial arts, loves to act and has also done some modelling. Ricky is currently working on his first EP featuring his original music.
